Kuruma Ebi is considered by the Japanese to be the tastiest prawn.

Most commonly used for Edomae-style sushi, kuruma-ebi is a high-end ingredient in Japanese restaurants.

Unlike most frozen prawns in the market, are kept alive until the very last moment, and cooked only minutes before being served.

Which means that they are blast frozen when the prawns are still alive. Which makes them taste as good as when you order them live!

The taste of Kuruma Ebi is more savory than sweet, and therefore not the most suitable for eating raw.

For sushi, skewer the shrimp onto bamboo sticks and boil them for a short time, until they turn into a bright red color. Then when the leftover head is grilled with salt, it can be served as a tasty snack and special treat.

But you can enjoy other dishes such as grilled salt and tempura.

Our gourmet seafood products are shipped and maintained in chilled (0-10℃) conditions during delivery and arrive at your home at the same temperature as we shipped it.
Delivery Explained

The best way to thaw our seafood is to remove the product from the original packaging, place it in a plastic bag, and allow it to thaw in the refrigerator for about 6 hours. If you require faster thawing, we recommend placing the product into a non-vacuum sealed bag and placing it in cool water for around thirty minutes to an hour.

Elegant Pinot Noir (Volnay, Santeney), light red (Beaujolais), full-bodied rosé (Bandol), Champagne (Blanc de Noirs or rosé).

Seafood ordered from Fishmonger should be kept frozen until ready for preparation. Items can be stored frozen for up to 12 months, but are best if consumed within 6 months of purchase.
